About JDS Actors Studio JDS Actors Studio is brought to you by JDS Video & Media Productions, Inc. Our Mission Statement – To create a comfortable space where Actors and Students can feel safe to express themselves emotionally, gain self confidence, learn the craft of Acting and the value of teamwork and collaboration. Scott and Diane Strand, the Owners of JDS Video & Media Productions have designed a program that enriches creative growth in today’s youth and provides an atmosphere where creative adults are able express themselves emotionally through artistic expression. The Public speaking component comes from their Corporate Video business, realizing that business professionals are sometimes not comfortable when they have to present on a topic or talk on camera for their business. In January 2010 Scott and Diane started a Drama Club program which went into the elementary schools in the Temecula School District. There was such a huge response that they decided to create a Studio for all ages to learn the technique and craft of Acting, which is now known as JDS Actors Studio. Scott Strand's Teaching Philosphy "You cannot win an audience by untruth." Charles Jehlinger, 1918 "The Truth in Acting" is Mr. Strand's theory of teaching acting. This simple but effective method is based on the actors strong sense of self, utilizing a healthy Mind, Body and Spirit to project emotional and physical action into the portrayal of any character. Actors learn to make strong choices that are grounded in the text of the script yet not limited by anything - but the actors own imagination.
